PowerPlayGolf is revolutionizing the game.
It's revolutionizing it at the recreational level but it might also do so at the professional level to a great degree.
And it may also shift the way course architects think in the years ahead.
PowerPlayGolf is right for the times. It takes half as long to play as a regular 18 holes, it's at least twice the fun of a routine 9 holes and the cost factor for creating new courses using the PowerPlayGolf model will plummet - not a bad idea at a time when the global economy is crippled.
PowerPlayGolf is the brainchild of Peter McEvoy, OBE, who had a sensational amateur playing career for England in the 70s and 80s and who is now putting most of his energy and talent into PowerPlayGolf.
Yesterday, he and I spoke about his unique 9-hole formula; today, we continue our discussion in which Peter talks about his design principles (he's designed more than 35 courses throughout Europe) and how they apply to PowerPlayGolf.
He also reveals a major plan in the works to involve at least one professional tour and a broadcast deal.
