It's a principle in the business world that out of confusion and uncertainty comes opportunity.
The recent economic upheaval in the United States due to the sub-prime mortgage fiasco and resulting tight credit conditions has pretty much popped the real estate bubble.
This means that builders are forced to slash prices on their new homes. That, of course, translates into great savings for buyers.
The buyers who benefit the most are often foreign buyers. Right now, the U.S. dollar is weak against many currencies like the Canadian dollar, British pound and the Euro.
So already reduced home prices are even cheaper thanks to currency valuations.
In Florida and Arizona, two states where golf is a way of life and golf communities abound, there is still a plethora of residential construction going on. Builders are committed to finishing projects but they need buyers for their completed properties.
It is not unusual to find new golf course communities in those two states where prices have been slashed dramatically and club memberships - often valued at 40 thousand dollars or more in good times - are being given away with home purchases. And some builders are even throwing in annual fees for up to five years.
This is a wonderful chance to snag a perfect retirement home or vacation property at incredible savings.
Here is one general website for Florida. And here's one for Arizona.
