What's the one thing that golfers love most? I would argue it's discovering a great course at a great price.
What if I told you there was an entire province in Canada filled with great courses at great prices? Well, there is. Prince Edward Island on Canada's east coast has some of the best courses I've ever played and the green fees are ridiculously cheap.

Arguably, the finest on the Island is The Links at Crowbush Cove. Golf Digest voted this the Best New Course in Canada back in 1994 when it opened and gave it an instant five-star rating. It also voted Crowbush in the Top 50 Great Value Courses in North America.
Crowbush is built along the Atlantic Ocean on PEI's north shoreline. Are you getting the idea, here? Think fabulous scenery, sand dunes, stiff ocean breezes and plenty of water in play. The course designer is the renowned Canadian architect, Thomas McBroom.
It's just over 6900 yards from the championship tees but only 5000 from the forward tees. So it's long enough for the long hitters and short enough for those of us who can't drill it 275 down the middle every time.
Now here's the ridiculously fabulous part: last year, the green fees ran between $75 and $90 CANADIAN. So if you're an American golfer reading this, knock off about 15% on the exchange rate. Now tell me if you can play an Oceanside course this good for so little money!
But, wait! It gets better! Rodd Resorts has a beautiful resort facility on the property that caters to families. So when you're finished playing golf for the day, hit the beach – it's only about a thousand yards from your room! You can dine at the resort or jump in your car and search out the wonderful lobster suppers that PEI is proud of. You can find one just about every night of the week in every town during the summer months.

I couldn’t agree more…PEI is heaven on earth. (No pollution, no humidity, no traffic jams, friendly people!!!) The great thing about golf on the island is the fact that you can make a bunch of double bogeys, lose your match to an Anne of Green Gables look-a-like and not really care. Why? The scenery is so damn beautiful and the oysters after your round are so damn tasty! Hey Chris…how bout a lobster/nassau match?
