Golf’s Little Moments

Golf is one of the few activities in life that teaches us to laugh at ourselves. Or wrap a 3-wood around a tree.
Hence, this snort-and-giggler of the day:
It was a sunny morning. A little before 8:00AM. I was on the first hole of a busy course, beginning my pre-shot routine, visualizing my upcoming shot when a piercing voice came over the clubhouse loudspeaker.
"Would the gentleman on the women's tee back up to the men's tee, please!"
I could feel every pair of eyes on the course looking at me.
But I carried on, resuming my routine and trying to remain impervious to everything around me.
Again, the announcement: "Would the golfer on the women's tee kindly back up to the men's tee!"
I ignored the voice and kept concentrating.
When once more the guy yelled, "would the man on the women's tee back up to the men's tee. Please!", I finally stopped, turned and cupped my hands.
"Would the asshole with the microphone kindly keep quiet and let me play my second shot"
