Golf's Little Moments
Filed in archive Golf Humor by Chris Henry on September 4, 2007

Golf is one of the few activities in life that teaches us to laugh at ourselves. Or wrap a 3-wood around a tree.
Hence, this snort-and-giggler of the day:
It was a sunny morning. A little before 8:00AM. I was on the first hole of a busy course, beginning my pre-shot routine, visualizing my upcoming shot when a piercingvoice came over the clubhouse loudspeaker.
"Would the gentleman on the women's tee back up to the men's tee, please!"
I could feel every pair of eyes on the course looking at me.
But I carried on, resuming my routine and trying to remain impervious to everything around me.
Again, the announcement: "Would the golfer on the women's tee kindly back up to the men's tee!"
I ignored the voice and kept concentrating.
When once more the guy yelled, "would the man on the women's tee back up to the men's tee. Please!", I finally stopped, turned and cupped my hands.
"Would the asshole with the microphone kindly keep quiet and let me play my second shot"
