Home Security Helps Me Hit Straight

My wife and I take golf vacations several times a year. Only, since she doesn't golf, she doesn't call them golf vacations. She thinks of them a spa vacations.
We've been to some of the best golf courses in the world – Spain and Portugal, Hawaii, Thailand, Florida, Scotland. My wife gets the mud bath, or the hot rock treatment, or whatever they do inside a spa. I play 18 holes and have a beer or two at the course's pro club. Then we spend the evening together, on the town.
A couple of years ago we were on a golf vacation in Australia and I got a phone call from my local police back home. Our house had been broken into. Most of what was taken was eventually recovered. We tried to cut our trip short and get back home, but we couldn't get a seat any earlier than our original booking. Over the next year my golf scores got worse and worse. I knew it was unlikely, but I worried that we'd be robbed again. Finally, we decided to get a home security system. Now I'm back to shooting par most of the time. It helps to be able to keep your mind on the game.
