More Comments on Stack and Tilt

I want to catch up with some reader comments on several Instruction posts recently.
The Stack and Tilt issue generated considerable response as it is doing on many other sites.
I'll provide a few links to them in a moment.
But, more and more, the comments I'm getting on the new Mike Bennett/Andy Plummer swing are favorable.
They're coming from amateurs who have tried and tried to swing "the way the pros do" and who are getting nowhere.
When these golfers try Stack and Tilt, the results are almost immediate.
Dan is an example. He writes:
"I am 63, did play to a 2; now hang on to a 6. I had 4 rotator cuff surgeries in 5 years. That, combined with age, cost me distance. I tried having a flat left wrist at impact but just kept flipping at the ball, so I decided to try Stack and Tilt and the results are outstanding. I can't say I have power back, however I find my divots in front of the ball and feel I must have a flat left wrist at impact just from the way the ball sounds and the shots react, I'll continue the effort."
Gary is another willing convert:
"I tried it. I'm sure I didn't do it perfectly, but even so I got and extra 5 yards right away and had fewer tops. Divots were on the target side of the ball. I want more!"
Mike has discovered what many are initialing reporting when they try Stack and Tilt. They are hitting their irons crisply but the driver is another matter entirely.
"Stack and Tilt works great for me with the ball on the ground. With the ball teed up - particularly the driver I am still searching for something reliable. At times I do hit good shots but the bad ones are weak slices with a feeling of blocked arms and open club-face at impact."
Golf Digest has commented on this very issue with Andy Plummer himself offering some counsel.
You can find that information here.
One final comment and it's a well-thought out response to Stack and Tilt.
It comes from Peter who really took the time to assess this new swing.
"I took some time to try out the Stack and Tilt and have hit maybe 200 to 250 balls using all my clubs. I was hitting pretty respectably before but I have added 10 to 15 meters to most of the irons with a firmer, crisper strike on almost every shot. For example with my 6 iron I've gone from 135 meters to closer to 150 meters. My fairway woods are generally dead straight but probably not much longer than before. For driver I had to tee the ball down about 2.5 cm lower, but that is the only adjustment and it is making 215 to 225 meters reliably".
Golfrewind.com has an excellent forum for golfers and a lot of their readers have been weighing in on Stack and Tilt. Take a look at some of the comments.
Plus, investigate Golf Digest's Editor's Blog for more viewpoints. The magazine has happily opened up one huge can of worms.
They're going to sell a lot of magazines in June.
