The comments continue to come in regarding Stack and Tilt. And they are all positive. I can't remember, now, when I last received a negative comment about the swing.
Here are two recent comments.
Dave (not the usual "Dave" who posts here) writes:
"My 2 cents: S&T works. I am a rookie, no formal training, and basically
suck, inconsistent, and am mostly annoyed at myself as I play. I've converted
from softball to golf, and it hasn't been easy [We can imagine, Dave!].
Anyway, a buddy turned me on to S&T a few days back. All of a sudden I can
play. I'm stunned by the simplicity of the swing. It seemed so complicated and
disjointed before. Now, it's simple. S&T is uncomplicated. You just stay over
that ball on your left side and smash it. For a new golfer, this approach is so
much more natural and actually works. For the first time ever, I've actually
hit my irons the distance the should go, like over 170 on my 5i. Oh and btw,
they are going straight. I've never felt the thwack that I've seen other
golfers do, and the accompanying sailing of the ball. Often I've thought, and
even said out loud that I would pay to have that swing. Well, I'm finally doing
it, and it feels great! 2 days after being introduced, I'm good. Sold. Thanks
to the instructors, certainly it's a "revolution" for me."
Dave, maybe you can keep us updated on your progress, specifically, if the swing technique remains good for you.
It's easy to criticize Stack and Tilt after Aaron Baddeley's first tee collapse on Sunday at Oakmont a few weeks ago. But was that a failure of the swing? No. It was a failure of Baddeley's mental game. And he wasn't alone in that struggle on Sunday at the U.S. Open, was he?
Eric, from Tampa Bay, had this to say:
"Last year I went to a golf academy. Prior to the lesson I was a 17 handicap.
They filmed and analyzed my swing. I was appalled at what I saw. He gave me
three (3) small changes that were simple and appropriate. When I got home, I
lost distance, consistency, and confidence. I dreaded playing golf and lost
more money than ever. The Stack and Tilt slightly (I mean slightly) resembled
my old swing, so I decide to give it a try.
WOW!!! Flush, solid ball striking and distance again. I know I won't be making
any money on The Tour anytime soon, but I will stop being my buddies
ATM machine".
There is nothing worse than a golf swing that hemorrhages money on the course!
So, two more comments added to the long and growing list of golfers who have embraced Stack and Tilt with great results.
As politicians are wont to say, "the people have spoken".
