Golf Equipment

Frank Thomas has some interesting information in his weekly "Ask Frank" email series.
He answers a letter from a reader who wonders if testing was ever done to determine the difference in performance between a persimmon wood and a titanium-faced metal wood.
Certainly, every recreational golfer knows there is a difference but Thomas defines just how substantial that difference is in yardage terms and why it's not just the club face that accounts for the difference.
He also reminds us all that club makers have pretty much reached the end of the line when it comes to more distance from technology.
There's also an informative answer to a question regarding the perfect sand wedge.
