One photo doesn't do this post justice. It's Radium Resort in British Columbia on Canada's west coast. And it's the latest installment from eagleparbirdie.com on great resort courses at fantastic prices.

The town of Radium Hot Springs is tucked into the southwest corner of B.C. on the edge of Kootenay National Park, just over the Rocky Mountains from Calgary, Alberta and about due north of Idaho and Montana.

The place is stunning. And so is the golf.

Radium Resort boasts two 18-hole layouts that are ideal for the amateur golfer.

The Springs Course is the longer of the two tracks at just over 6700 yards from the back tees. Very manageable distance. And designed by well-known architect, Les Furber.

The Resort Course is a little shorter by about a thousand yards, only has two sets of tees but, according to their website, compensates with tight fairways and rolling greens.

They throw in the breathtaking mountain scenery "gratis".

The Canadian Golf Directory, published by Inside Golf, claims that the Radium Resort is one of the top places to stay in western Canada (and there are plenty!). Now, maybe they were "influenced" to say that but a picture is worth a thousand words, so this "ain't horse-hockey", as Colonel Henry Potter used to say.

On top of fabulous scenery, great layouts and delightful accommodation comes the "bang for the buck". The price will blow you away.

You will recall The Links at Crowbush covelinks in Prince Edward Island from an early post on eagleparbirdie.com. Inexpensive in Canadian currency and cheaper even for American golfers with the exchange rate factored in.

Well, Radium Resort is just as affordable. In fact, you can't afford NOT to stay there!

I won't go into great detail on pricing here but the resort's website puts two rounds on the resort's courses plus one night's accommodation at under $150 CDN, based on double occupancy. The resort offers a range of golf packages, so you can create one that suits you.

The rooms, suites and lofts at the resort all overlook the Resort Course.

Access to the town of Radium Hot Springs is straightforward. Fly into Vancouver, rent a car and drive east through fabulous scenery towards the B.C- Alberta border. Better yet, fly into Calgary, and drive west through the Rocky Mountains. Unparalleled beauty is guaranteed.

The town is busy and thriving so there are plenty of restaurants, places to stay and things to do. Don't forget, you're on the doorstep of Kootenay National Park and the famous Radium Hot Springs!

This is a must-play destination for golfers. And a must-see for everyone!
