Golf Courses

We've been on a wee bit of a Scottish thing lately thanks to The Donald. I came across this story in the Scotsman newspaper written by Sam Torrance.
Scotland's favorite golfer who is not Colin Montgomerie gives us his top five holes on Scottish courses along with his reasons why, of course.
Torrance calls them his "hidden gems" and he's promptly taken to task by a reader who writes, "How on earth does Sam think his 5 courses can be described as hidden gems. They are all well established courses which have hosted professional and SGU events. Hidden gems are courses like Fortrose and Rosemarkie, saline and Dunaverty."
Me, I couldn't comment, but it goes to show that no matter how famous you are in your homeland, there's always someone ready to take a rip at ya! That's what comes of sticking your views out in public.
Anyway, Sam has his own Scottish tourism website, too, if you're interested.
