Okay, folks. Here is part one of the Sandra Post Interviews.

I won't recap Sandra's stellar career on the LPGA Tour. If you want the details, see this previous post.

Suffice it to say that Sandra has been in the winner's circle 8 times, one of which was a major in her first year on tour. Heck, her first few months on tour.

I drove up to Sandra's house north of Toronto to meet with her.

She welcomed me warmly into her home and we chatted for about half an hour before starting the interview.

Sandra is married to a former Canadian politician and cabinet minister. And, so, not surprisingly, we got into a lively discussion about politics.

What I very quickly realized about Sandra Post is that she doesn't mince her words. You will never be left wondering where she stands on any given point or issue.

And that's what you're going to hear in today's first installment of our wide-ranging interview.

Sandra is frank and forthcoming about the LPGA today, the women's game, even the men's game. She's a keen observer, spotting nuances and subtleties in swings and behaviors that the rest of us would miss entirely.

She knows the players. She knows the game inside and out.

Before I let you listen in, I want to use this space to thank my collaborator on this inaugural burst of audio on eagleparbirdie.com.

Dave Grein has been a good friend for a number of years, now. And he's one of the best TV editors I've had the pleasure to work with over the years.

He is so good that the Golf Channel hired him to work for them when that company began in the mid 90s. So it was a no-brainer to ask him to lend his production talents to this mini-project.

I'm trying to get him to spill his guts about the early days at GC. Two more beers and I may have him…

The download will take a few minutes. The audio file is just over 5MB long.

Enjoy and send me your thoughts and comments!

    Chris,

What a clever idea – I’m very impressed with your technical savy, but even more so with the interview. These are great, can I suggest Marlene as the next one?

I lost a lot of respect for Sandra over her participation in the Q-ray scam.
