If you are planning to buy a new set of golf clubs in the near future, stop where you are.

You need to hear today's first part of an interview with master club designer and builder, Tom Wishon.

Tom has been building and designing golf clubs for over 30 years. He's worked for the big club makers, has seen how they operate and now he works for himself.

He built Scott Verplank's clubs – and they seemed to work pretty well in Montreal last week.

He has built custom sets for Ben Crenshaw and the late Payne Stewart. Stewart captured the 1999 U.S. Open with Tom Wishon's irons.

There is literally nothing Tom Wishon doesn't know about shafts, clubheads, lofts, lie angles, flex, swingweight or the physics behind what happens when a golf club hits a golf ball.

If you cannot take the 12 minutes to listen to part one of the interview, then go online to Amazon or your favorite bookseller and order The Search for the Perfect Golf Club by Tom Wishon. It will be 11 bucks well spent.

But if you can take the time, then click on the link below, allow a couple of minutes for the download, grab a pen and pad of paper and prepare to learn!

Great Post! I think Tom Wishon is without doubt one of the best club designers in the world. Its a shame that he hasn’t tied in with a big club manufacturer so that he could build his brand.
