Golf Interviews

The professional golfer on tour always has some custom built clubs in his or her bag. Most pros who sign endorsement deals with the big club manufacturers stipulate that they will use only 6 or 8 of that brand - and then only the clubheads, usually.
The other 6 clubs they choose themselves and those clubs are not the standard, off the rack variety that you and I see in the golf shops.
But no one's surprised by news that the pros have clubs tailor-made for them. We fully expect it. After all, the professional players want to have the best equipment in their bags at all times.
Why, then, don't more recreational golfers adopt the same view?
According to master club maker and designer, Tom Wishon, we should.
Wishon says the amateur player can benefit tremendously from custom club fitting and see shots that are routinely longer and straighter than ever.
Today, in part two of my interview with Tom Wishon, he delves into this rather obvious fact in a convincing way.
But first, he takes a run at the USGA for interfering with the game of golf by setting limits on the spring-like effect of drivers.
And he doesn't stop there in his views of the USGA.
