Two tournaments as a pro don't come close to determining how a professional career will pan out but Michelle Wie has had plenty of time in recent years to consider her future.
One frustration after another, a series of embarrassments on and off the course, injuries and questions about her mental toughness dogged Wie during her amateur days.
But perhaps all she needed was to grow up a little.
Now she is a pro and has stormed out of the gate in her first two outings on the LPGA Tour this season, appearing to live up to the hype surrounding her when she was an amateur.
The young golfer posted her second straight runner-up finish on tour at the SBS Open in Hawaii on Sunday.
Actually, Wie was in position to win her first tourney as a pro but made the rookie mental mistake of having one bad hole on Sunday to lose to last year's hottest golfer, Angela Stanford.
Never mind - Wie appears to finally be getting all her ducks in a row.
This should be good.
