Clinic For Disabled to Learn Golf

In conjunction with the National Amputee Golf Association the JFK JRI and JFK Prosthetic and Orthotic Lab in Edison, New Jersey offered a free First Swing Seminar and Learn Golf Clinic on Tuesday, May 3. The interactive seminar is designed for anyone who is physically challenged and would like to play golf.
Bob Buck, who is the executive director of the Eastern Amputee Golf Association, was the keynote speaker at the event. He is an amputee and a golfer who has been teaching golf to those with disabilities for many years. The seminar was held at the Inman Golf Center and lasted for three hours. Studies show that learning golf can assist disabled people in learning necessary life skills, both physical and mental, such as balance coordination, focus and concentration.
